           JON ANSORENA

Zumaia, 1994. She studied with Miren Iñarga and later at the Higher School of Music of the Basque Country-Musikene with Iñaki Alberdi. Afterwards, she completed a Masters Programm specializing in contemporary music at the Musikhochschule FHNW in Basel (Switzerland) under the tutelage of renowned performers such as Mike Svoboda, Marcus Weiss or Jürg Henneberger and graduated with the highest grade.

In addition to her experience in countless festivals, she has won several awards in national and international competitions. She won the first prize in the Concorso Internazionale di Firsarmonica Santa Cecilia in Rome, the second prize in the International Akkordeon Wettweberb Klingenthal 2014 and the first prize of the Arrasate Hiria International Competition 2018.

She has performed several pieces by prestigious composers such as R. Lazkano, J.M. Sánchez-Verdú, M.E. Luc, S. Avramidou or G. Moreno, both alone and with different chamber groups. In addition to her work as a soloist, she has been a guest accordionist at Euskadi Symphony Orchestra and regularly collaborates with groups, such as Plural Ensemble, Zone Experimentale, Ciklus Ensemble, Tanar Quartet and Akoncert.

Miranda de Ebro, 1992. He studied at the Conservatory "Jesús Guridi" in Vitoria-Gasteiz and at the Higher School of Music of the Basque Country-Musikene with Javier Alonso, Lorenzo Ferrándiz, José A. Trigueros and Antonio Domingo. In 2018, he Completed a Masters Program at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague (Holland) under the tutelage of renowned performers such as Hans Zonderop, Theun van Nieuwburg, Niels Meliefste, Pepe Garcia and Rob Verhagen and graduated with the highest grade.

He is also the founder of the percussion quartet IKKO Percussion Group, an ensemble committed to contemporary creation. As a soloist, he won prizes in several competitions, such as the Italy Percussion Competition, the Young Musicians of Euskadi Competition and the Regino Sainz de la Maza Musical Festival.

He has collaborated with groups such as the Netherlands Philharmonisch Orkest, Residentie Orkest, Slagwerk Den Haag, the ASKO | SchönbergEnsemble, Atlas Ensemble, the Netherlands Blazer Ensemble, Bilbao Sinfonietta, Verum Orchestra, the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra and the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra.

Hernani, 1992. He studied at the "Francisco Escudero" Conservatory in San Sebastián and later at the Higher School of Music of the Basque Country-Musikene with Aitor Amilibia. Additionally, the lessons taken with great performers such as Iñaki Alberdi, Jabi Alonso, Jose Ignazio Ansorena, Sèverine Ballon, Miquel Bernat, Alfonso Gómez or Garth Knox have been decisive for his education.

He combines his work as a traditional music performer with a strong commitment to instrumental research and the most contemporary repertoire. He is currently a member of the San Sebastian Municipal Band, and also part of several associations and institutions committed to the Basque music, such as Musikagileak — Asociación Vasco–Navarra de Compositores —, Euskal Herriko Txistulari Elkartea, EHMBE-Euskal Herriko Musika Bulegoa, among others.

He has collaborated with ensembles and groups such as Silboberri, Ensemble XARE, Ciklus Ensemble, among others, and attended several festivals such as Gargonza-Arts, Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, Bernaola Festival, Circuito de Música Contemporánea Musikagileak or Musikaste.
